'Less is More' week 9 - A Touch of Red!

Hi everyone!

I had a terrible flu type bug for ten days and could hardly lift a finger! Thankfully, I'm on the mend and am in the mood to craft again. lol

I received my new Tim Holtz mini hearts 'movers & shapers' and made this little card as a result. I'm entering it for the Less Is More challenge as the theme is 'a touch of red'.

Thanks for looking.

Meet Olivia, my granddaughter!

She is not even an hour old in this next photo ... alert, isn't she! lol

My daughter, Sharon, gave birth to a little girl last night and I am on top of the world! David, Sharon's fiance and I were alongside for the birth. Haven't they done a great job! ... congratulations, Sharon & David! :D

The baby was born at 10.44pm and weighed in at 8lbs 8oz. Her full name is Olivia Agnes Elsie. Isn't she beautiful! Sharon named her 'Agnes' after her nanny (my mother) and 'Elsie' is after David's nan.

A friend's birthday card

Hello, again! This little card was made for a friend's birthday last week. I thought I'd upload a close-up of the image as I was quite pleased with how it turned out. I used some glossy accents on the bath and snow writer/glitter on the bubbles.

Thank you so much for visiting.

A Delightful Waste Of Time

Meredith is having a little party to celebrate her blog birthday. I have entered my card for her sketch challenge and am delighted to find that she is offering a Waltzing Mouse stamp set of choice (donated by Claire) as the grand prize to one of the entrants! How generous is that! Thank you, Meredith & Claire!

Here's a little close-up of the resist embossing on the shell ...

I created the background using spray inks, stamps and clear embossing powder. It was so much fun to do and I ended up with green fingers (again).

Hope you like it.

WMSC #36

Hello again!

A little close-up of the 'frosting' ...

For this week's sketch on Waltzing Mouse, I created a background from some of the tiny stamps on the Vintage Circles plate. It was so much fun, trying out different designs in varying colour schemes. For this card, I stuck to the current fashion trend colours, nude/natural and brown tones.

For all the details of the sketch and how to enter, please click here.

Thank you so much for popping in.

WMSC #35

Hi there!

and the inside ...

I've entered this little card for the sketch challenge over on Waltzing Mouse. For all the details of entry etc, please click here

This is an ultra easy card, made by stamping a musical background on white card, placing a mask of a star on top and then colouring the rest of the background with Pearlescent Orchid Brilliance Ink. It was a five minute job! :D

Thanks for popping in!

February Waltz at Waltzing Mouse Stamps! My TWO entries!

Well today is the day I've been waiting for! It's waltzing time over at Waltzing Mouse and as I enjoyed last month's so much, I decided to make 2 cards! For details of entry and links to gorgeous work, please click here. The theme is 'BUTTONS!

All of the buttons in the baby card below have been created using the Vintage Circles stamps, the tiny little ones! I have glazed them with Glossy Accents.

For my next card, I stamped some lovely Basic Grey paper with 'Text-It' stamps and made little flowers with button centres. Really easy! The sentiment is from the 'Frame It' stamp set.

Thanks for visiting.
